Marriott
Victoria & Albert Hotel |
On
the edge of the city centre, next to Granada Studios, the
4 star V&A is a posh hotel popular with stars. Most reviews
have the excellent exposed brick walled rooms as the best
in town. It's a short walk to the Manchester Opera House and
there's on site car parking too |
Marriott
Renaissance Hotel |
Although
nowhere near as exclusive, well equipped or plush as the 5
star hotels in town, which are often cheaper, the 4 star Renaissance
receives widespread rave reviews for its superb service, huge
rooms & great location (next to the MEN Arena and the
main shopping area) |
Arora
Hotel |
Yet
another 4 star hotel receiving better reviews than the 5 star
offerings. This is a superb designer hotel next to China Town,
the Town Hall and Gay Village. Part owned by Cliff Richard,
it boasts one of the best cocktail bars in Manchester, together
with a great restaurant |
Malmaison
Manchester |
A
modern 4 star bouteque hotel opposite Piccadilly Station and
backing on to the Gay Village. It's a short walk to the shops
on Market Street and offers one of the best restaurants in
town, together with wonderfully plush and funky rooms, a gym
and spa including a jacuzzi |
The
Atrium |
Around
the corner from the Palace Theatre and Oxford Road, the Atrium
is a hotel offering luxury apartments instead of small bedrooms.
Whilst there's room service, there's no bar or restaurant.
There's loads across the road though in the Gay Village and
China Town |
The
Midland Hotel |
The
4 star Midland Hotel is the poshest in Manchester. Located
right in the heart of town, overlooking the Town Hall, Central
Library, G-Mex and Bridgewater Hall, it's where the Rolls
Royce company was formed and offers 2 brilliant restaurants,
great leisure facilities & parking |
The
Castlefield Hotel |
This
3 star offering in the most beautiful area of town gets better
reviews than many of the more exclusive hotels thanks largely
for it's value for money. One of the only hotels in the city
to offer both a swimming pool and car parking, the rooms are
basic but nice and clean |
Radisson
Edwardian Hotel |
The
highest placed 5 star hotel in our list, the exclusive 5 star
Radisson is centrally located, boasting a wonderful spa and
arguably the best hotel pool in town. There's a great restaurant
& cocktail bar, amongst the best in Manchester, and the
rooms are wonderfully designed |
The
Place Apartment Hotel |
Next
to Piccadilly Station, The Place offers more value for money
than a normal hotel. Rather than a poky little room, they
offer large luxury apartments without losing the services
of a hotel. As well as room service, it boasts a superb restaurant
and bar as well as onsite parking |
The
Lowry Hotel |
Usually
the number 1 choice for football teams and rock stars, the
plush 5 star Rocco Forte Lowry is on the edge of the city
centre, a short walk from the MEN Arena & designer stores.
There's car parking onsite, a great restaurant & bar and
the rooms are very luxurious |
